Overview

The Custodian is responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of all areas assigned. We are searching for a hardworking, dependable individual to join the SBM Management team as we continue to grow. We have an immediate opening for a custodian who wants to deliver exceptional customer satisfaction. We are looking for custodial team members who have strong customer service skills and can work effectively with other team members.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties
• Perform all duties listed on the daily schedule
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area
• Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor
• Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures
• Work with others in a team setting
• Perform repetitive tasks
• Maintain a clean work area
• Follow all procedures, company policies, and rules
• Take direction and respond to supervision
• Communicate professionally with lead, supervisor, coworkers, managers, and customers
• Fill in during staff shortage
• Support shift lead in completing punch-list items
• Use proper personal protective equipment
• Present a professional appearance and conduct
• Understand customer service and satisfaction
• Understand reporting systems and the environment

Qualifications

• May be required to have a valid driver’s license
• Completed all safety and task training certification
• May be required to be forklift certified
• Bilingual a plus
• Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment and willingness to share with the team
• Knowledge of upkeep and care of cleaning equipment
• Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use
• No specific education requirement; 3-6 months training or experience preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Compensation: $14.50-$15.50 per hour

Shifts

• Sunday-Wednesday 6:00am-4:30pm
• Wednesday-Saturday 6:00am-4:30pm
• Sunday-Wednesday 6:00pm-4:30am
• Wednesday-Saturday 6:00pm-4:30am
