This position reports to the Facilities Director and is responsible for overseeing housekeeping services, performing general cleaning and maintenance in school buildings and grounds, maintaining equipment, and providing custodial support to students, staff, and visitors.
Essential Functions include:
- Reporting to the Facilities Director regarding housekeeping operations.
- Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, dusting furniture, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming floors, and emptying trash.
- Assisting with facility setup for meetings and events.
- Performing floor care, carpet cleaning, and maintaining cleaning equipment.
- Washing walls and windows, and using ladders when necessary.
- Securing buildings and following safety protocols, including chemical handling and emergency procedures.
- Assisting with snow removal, moving furniture, delivering supplies, and supporting safety and inventory controls.
Additional duties include cleaning during school vacations, assisting with events, and other tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Equipment used includes: hand tools, floor machines, vacuum cleaners, snow blowers, shovels, and mowers.
Safety requirements: adherence to safety rules, use of protective gear, and compliance with chemical safety protocols.
Travel may be required between sites.
Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent, experience in building maintenance preferred, valid NH driver’s license or own transportation.
