Salary: $17.00/ hour
Overview
Bayfield School District is looking for a substitute custodian to provide students with a safe, attractive, comfortable, clean, and efficient place in which to learn, play, and develop. Bayfield is located in the mountains of Southwest Colorado with access to outdoor activities and partnerships with local colleges.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Demonstrates aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities.
- Submit fingerprints for a criminal background check.
- Completed and submitted BSD online application.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Shovel, plow, and sand walks, driveways, parking areas, and steps as appropriate.
- Check that all exit doors are open and all panic bolts are working properly during occupancy.
- Sweep/vacuum classrooms and dust furniture.
- Disinfect and clean toilets, floors, sanitary fixtures, drinking fountains, and restock supplies.
- Perform yard care when directed.
- Keep floors clean and in good condition.
- Promptly report major repairs to the Head Custodian.
- Remain on school premises unless permission to leave is authorized by Head Custodian and/or Building Principal.
- Report damage to school property to the Principal.
- Move furniture or equipment within buildings as directed by the Building Principal.
- Dispose of trash and waste per local laws and procedures.
- Participate in training updates as directed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Vision: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception; Hearing: ability to hear the difference between bells, buzzers, beeps, horns, etc.
Work indoors and outdoors; drive a vehicle and district equipment. Noise level is usually moderate but can be loud.
