Job Title: Custodian (Spanish Required)

Location: Dayton, NJ 08810

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Pay: $18+ $4.54 fringe benefit = $22.54/hour

Position Overview

A dependable and hardworking Custodian is needed to support facility upkeep and cleanliness. The ideal candidate will be bilingual (Spanish required), experienced or certified in forklift operation, and capable of handling both custodial and light maintenance responsibilities. This role helps ensure the warehouse and surrounding property remain clean, safe, and well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general custodial tasks such as sweeping and emptying trash bins into hoppers; use a forklift to transport and dump trash in a large external dumpster
• Maintain cleanliness of the facility's outdoor perimeter
• Operate a forklift safely and efficiently (must have prior forklift experience)
• Operate a vertical baler machine for proper disposal of recyclables (training provided)
• Perform light maintenance duties, including minor repairs like tightening screws and changing doorknobs
• Operate a floor scrubber to maintain warehouse floors (training provided)
• Follow all safety procedures and company protocols
  
  

Requirements

• Must speak Spanish (English not required)
• Valid forklift certification or relevant forklift experience
• Prior custodial/janitorial experience preferred
• Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods
