ESS is responsible for the hiring, training, and placement of all substitutes including teachers, teacher assistants, secretaries, custodians, and nurses. Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the Lead Custodian, the Substitute Custodian will keep building and premises, including sidewalks, driveways, and play areas neat and clean at all times.
• Check to ensure that all exit doors are open and all panic bolts are working properly during building occupancy.
• Sweep, mop classrooms, and dust furniture.
• Clean classrooms and corridors.
• Daily clean and disinfect toilet floors, all sanitary fixtures and drinking fountains.
• Keep the grounds free from rubbish.
• Keep all floors in a clean and attractive condition and in a good state of preservation.
