Location Description

Responsibilities

• Assumes personal responsibility to ensure a safe and healthy workplace for everyone. Adheres to all safety policies/procedures and incorporates safety and health in all job’s duties/tasks.
• Adheres to safe work practices, follows GMPs, maintains sanitary conditions and ensures product quality is maintained. Reports any conditions or practices that may adversely affect employee safety or food safety/quality to management immediately.
• Attends and actively participates in safety meetings/trainings.
• Ensures regulatory compliance at all times.
• Assists in stocking all necessary materials required for production and processing.
• Transports raw products and materials to and from production areas.
• Records and reports any equipment problems and damage to any product.
• Maintains plant safety by driving cautiously and at slow speeds.
• cleans and sanitizes warehouse area, forklift and batteries.
• Assists anyone in the department needing a forklift, including contractors and vendors.
• Reads and understands order sheets.
• Learn to use the inventory computer system (SAP).
• Keeps inventory up to date by inputting data such as material type, supplier, and weight into SAP.
• Transports materials from trailer to holding area and organizes by date and product type; loads finished product onto trailers.
• Operates pallet jack and performs duties of Pallet Jack Driver (Authorized training required).
• Prints all receipts and reports to supervisor upon completion.
• Records and reports any equipment problems and/or damage to product or company property.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Experience: Basic power industrial truck operations.
• Language Skills: Ability to read a limited number of words and recognize similarities and differences between words; ability to print and speak simple sentences.
• Mathematical Skills: Ability to add/subtract two-digit numbers and multiply/divide with tens and hundreds; can use units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance.
• Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense and follow instructions; handle problems involving one concrete variable in standardized situations.
• Licenses: Power Industrial Truck Operator’s License.
• Other Skills: Must be able to read basic English.
