Base pay range: $20.00/hr

Overview

Position: Forklift Operator, Non Formula. Operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jack, reach truck) to transport incoming freight and replenish pick slots, ensuring safety, GMP, and quality standards to maintain efficient workflow in the distribution process.

Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

Responsibilities

  • Transport incoming freight to inventory from staging areas and store in appropriate slots on multi-level racks; replenish/re-stock pick slots in a timely manner.
  • Follow safety policies and procedures; perform safety checks on equipment; obtain supplies and prepare for operations; wear required PPE.
  • Meet productivity and accuracy standards; work from receiving sheets, computer print-outs, procedures, and instructions.
  • Inspect items for damage; perform temperature and quality checks; take appropriate action as needed.
  • Locate proper slots on storage racks; set pallets with forklift or hand stack; enter product data and location into RF unit; replenish slots with outgoing stock per next day’s work orders.
  • Rotate date-sensitive stock, remove outdated inventory, and disperse over-stocked items as needed.
  • Remove and manage empty pallets and packing materials; inspect pallets, stack and move them to storage areas.
  • Complete housekeeping duties; manage batteries and perform vehicle inspection; secure equipment and complete paperwork at shift end.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
  • 6+ months of warehouse and/or distribution experience
  • Ability to work scheduled times and required overtime
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, reach, and lift repeatedly; lift/re-stack items weighing 10-35 pounds and generally up to 60-90 pounds depending on location
  • Ability to work in multi-temperature environments (cooler, freezer, dry)
  • Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check
