Description

Receive, store, load and move building materials in the warehouse and in the loading of trucks. Workweek is Monday through Friday and may require some overtime work.

Responsibilities

• Receive, store, load and move building materials in the warehouse and in the loading of trucks
• Maintain clean and orderly warehouse
• Identify products and accurately handle items specified on written company documents
• Read customer orders, shipping orders, purchase orders, and/or bills of lading to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed
• Physically move material either by forklift or by hand to unload incoming materials from railcars, trucks; and to load outgoing deliveries
• Maintain good business relations with customers who come to the warehouse to pick up material

Qualifications

• Must have ability to effectively and safely handle a forklift
• Must be able to read the customer order, shipping order, purchase order, and/or bill of lading to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed
• Must be able to count and perform simple arithmetic
• Must be able to identify products and accurately handle items specified on written company documents
• Must be able to keep warehouse clean and orderly
• Must be able to maintain good business relations with customers who come to the warehouse to pick up material
