Aiken Technical College is recruiting Welding Adjunct Instructors. Responsibilities include:

1. Instruction, including hands-on and theory, classroom management, and administrative tasks such as reports, syllabus, and lesson plan development.
2. Preparing and maintaining current course syllabi.
3. Teaching courses in accordance with established syllabi.
4. Recommending instructional materials and laboratory facilities/equipment.
5. Supervising students.

Minimum and Additional Requirements:

• Associate’s degree in Welding Technology (or equivalent) with five (5) years of direct welding experience, including valid credentials such as AWS, CWI/CWE. A federally approved apprenticeship with proper certifications or a bachelor’s degree in a related field with relevant experience is acceptable.
• Knowledge of welding theory, metallurgy, mathematics, blueprint reading, and various welding processes per AWS standards.
