Job Description: Welding Adjunct Instructor (Cherokee)

Western Iowa Tech Community College is seeking a Welding Adjunct Instructor for the Cherokee campus. This position is on an as-needed basis and will teach Welding and related courses.

The successful candidate will develop and utilize instructional strategies to meet individual learning styles, evaluate and report student performance, and adhere to college policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Develops and/or utilizes a variety of instructional strategies, techniques and delivery methods designed to meet the individual learning style of students.
• Evaluates and reports student performance and progress in courses in accordance with College and division policies and procedures.
• Must meet minimum faculty standards for hire and adhere to college policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of industry experience.
• Effective oral and written communication and human relation skills.
• Welcome, value, and nurture people of all backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences, as well as support and promote an environment that accepts differences.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Teaching experience is preferred.
• American Welding Society Certified Welding Inspector/Welding Educator.
