Gibraltar Industries is hiring: Welding Co-Op - 3rd Shift in North Baltimore

Overview

Position: Welding Co-Op - 3rd Shift at Gibraltar Industries. The D.S. Brown Company, a Gibraltar Industries Company, is a world-wide leader and supplier of engineered products to the bridge and highway industry. Headquartered in North Baltimore, Ohio.

Scheduled Hours: Sunday through Wednesday, 11:00 PM – 6:00 AM.

To gain weld experience in a fab shop while finishing schooling.

What You'll Do

• Follow safety regulations (PPE)
• Pass 2G FCAW weld certification
• Interpret blueprints, follow weld procedures and measurements to plan layouts
• Weld small and large components
• Use overhead cranes
• Weld components in flat and horizontal position

Welders are also responsible for studying blueprints related to the items they will work on, ensuring that all needed materials to be available, and maintaining the welding tools they use.

• Education/Experience: High School Diploma or in process of obtaining
• Years of Experience: 0-1
• Area: Welding and Fabrication
• Core Competencies: Welding Certificates, Blueprint Reading
• Additional Position Competencies: Agility, Communication, Problem-Solving
• Technical Skills: Mechanically Inclined, Advanced Blueprint Interpretation, Math Skills
• Physical Requirements: Standing, Walking, Kneeling up to 100%; Lifting up to 60 lbs up to 15%
