Shift: Tuesday 9am-7pm, Wednesday 9am-7pm, Friday 8am-6pm, Saturday 8am-12pm

The Role You'll Contribute

When you join our team of over 40 outpatient clinics across Central Florida, you will be part of a team of experts dedicated to whole-person care to help our patients heal, strengthen and renew. We serve patients in Orange, Seminole, Osceola, Polk, Volusia, Flagler and Lake Counties with a dedicated team of therapists, clinicians and staff supporting AdventHealth’s mission in the communities we serve. In outpatient physical therapy, you will provide professional direct and indirect services to specific age groups, utilize process improvement to achieve department goals, and practice autonomously and collaboratively to provide best-practice care. Autonomous practice is characterized by independent, self-determined professional judgment and action.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional direct and indirect physical therapy services in an outpatient setting.
• Apply process improvement to achieve goals of the Sports Med & Rehab Department.
• Practice autonomously and collaboratively to provide best-practice care across practice environments.

The Value Youll Bring To The Team

• Engage in promoting evidence-based standards of care and lifelong learning through autonomous and collaborative participation in research, journal clubs, teaching/mentoring/clinical practice education within a peer group.
• Participate in marketing to physicians/physician practices to build referral relationships; support consumer marketing and community outreach as approved by management.
• Determine Physical Therapy Diagnosis and establish plan of care; make referrals when treatment is outside the PT scope of practice.
• Eligible to perform Direct Access Physical Therapy in outpatient settings as allowed by state practice act.
• Design and implement a treatment plan of care using standards, modalities, insurance guidelines, and patient needs; monitor progress and adjust as appropriate.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Licensed in the State of Florida as a Physical Therapist, or Temporary State of Florida permit as Physical Therapist.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience as Sports/Ortho Physical Therapist in an outpatient setting.
