Position: Full-time Dental Hygienist

Overview: We are currently looking for a full-time Dental Hygienist to join our family. The candidate should have a strong work ethic and be a team player. Recent graduates are welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Perform dental hygiene services and procedures, including dental prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, application of fluoride and sealants
• Detect disease by completing oral cancer screening; examine gums, and use probes to locate periodontal disease and assess recession levels
• Select materials and equipment for the dental hygiene visit by evaluating the patients oral health
• Educate patients by giving oral hygiene and plaque control instructions and postoperative guidance
• Document dental hygiene services by recording vital signs, medical and dental histories, and charting in patient charts
• Sterilize equipment
• Take x-rays as necessary and as recommended by the ADA

Requirements

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to follow outlined policies and guidelines
• Professional and positive attitude
• Associates degree from an accredited dental hygiene program
• Valid license to practice in Connecticut (Registered Dental Hygienist, RDH)
• Available to work within current office hours; specific shifts to be determined

Location & Hours

• Monday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Tuesday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Wednesday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Thursday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Second Saturday of the month: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Preferred Qualities

• Dental office experience
• Experience with Dentrix Ascend software

Salary: Up to $135,000 per year
