Articularis Healthcare Group (AHG) is seeking a full-time Float RN/Infusion RN Trainer based out of Atlanta, GA or Birmingham, AL. This position is Monday–Thursday and requires travel.

The Position

As a Float RN/Infusion RN Trainer, you will play an essential role in providing specialized care to patients receiving infusions. You will work closely with a team of healthcare professionals to administer medications, monitor patients\' response to treatment, and ensure their overall well-being. You will serve as the designated trainer during onboarding of new hires, new practices, or retraining as needed.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Assess patient health, detect changes in symptoms, health, or pain, and know when action is necessary.
  • Provide clinical infusion services, obtain vital signs, assess patients prior to administration of biologic medications, insertions and discontinuations of peripheral intravenous catheters, mix/monitor medications, administer premeds and medications in response to changes in condition, arrange follow-up appointments, answer telephone calls, ensure accurate and timely documentation per company policies and procedures, and clean equipment between patients.
  • Review diagnostic and laboratory data and report abnormal results to the treating physician or other healthcare providers.
  • Document assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in the patient record in an accurate, timely fashion.
  • Assist with drug inventory management (daily inventory, ordering, monitoring of refrigerator temperatures).
  • Maintain unit equipment, perform safety checks, clean, and promptly report any issues.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines/regulations.
  • Train and onboard new hires as needed.
  • Assist in onboarding or start-up of new practices and infusion suites to AHG.
  • Provide coverage in other practices as needed.
  • Address retraining needs among infusion nursing staff.
  • Travel extensively to existing and future AHG practices.
  • Other duties as assigned by manager.

Qualifications

  • Associates Degree.
  • RN license (Active - State Nursing License).
  • 2 years’ experience in a healthcare facility and 1 year working with medical payers including Medicaid and commercial insurance.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience inserting IVs and infusion administration.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience training team members.
  • Working knowledge of electronic medical record systems (NextGen).
  • Working knowledge of CPT & ICD-10 coding practices.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
