Acute Care RN Job Details
- Location: Marion, North Carolina 28752 (Western NC, near Asheville and Charlotte)
- Healthcare Setting: Acute Care Unit (Main Building, 2nd Floor)
- Assignment Type: Locum tenens / Travel Registered Nurse
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week
- Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1570–$1610
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (September 8, 2025 – December 8, 2025)
- Unit Details: 23 beds, 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio (night shift), team includes Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) and Health Unit Coordinators (HUCs)
- EMR System: Cerner
- Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license (North Carolina or compact state)
- Minimum 1 year of recent acute care RN experience (ICU experience preferred)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Ability to float to the Emergency Department (ED) as needed
- Experience with Cerner electronic medical records preferred
- Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to acute care patients
- Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment in Cerner
- Collaborate with physicians, PCTs, and unit secretaries to deliver optimal patient outcomes
- Administer medications, manage IVs, and perform nursing procedures as required
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation
- Support a positive patient experience and foster a collaborative healthcare team environment
- Float to other units, including the Emergency Department, as needed
