  • Location: Westminster, CO 80023 (Float assignments within 60 miles of the city center)
  • Employment Type: Locum Tenens (Travel RN Contract)
  • Specialty: Telemetry Nurse (MedSurg/Tele), Float Pool
  • Shift: 12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week
  • Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
  • Contract Duration: 13 weeks (10/27/2025 – 1/24/2026)
  • Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1,930–$2,070 per week

Travel RN – Telemetry Float Pool Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado or a participating NLC state
  • Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
  • Minimum 1 year of recent clinical nursing experience in Telemetry or MedSurg
  • Ability and willingness to float to multiple hospital units and healthcare facilities within a 60-mile radius

Travel Nurse Responsibilities

  • Assess and address patients’ physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs through observation, interviews, and review of clinical data
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary healthcare team
  • Demonstrate competency in therapeutic and diagnostic interventions, including IVs, wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collection
  • Promote patient advocacy, safety, and rights while providing compassionate, relationship-based care
  • Educate patients and families, assessing learning needs and evaluating teaching effectiveness
  • Delegate appropriately to non-RN personnel in accordance with Colorado state and hospital policies
  • Serve as a professional role model, mentor, and preceptor for new staff and nursing students
  • Participate in quality improvement, evidence-based practice, and ongoing professional development
  • Adhere to standards of care, hospital policies, and regulatory guidelines to ensure high-quality patient outcomes
  • Effectively manage resources and patient flow, adapting to changing float assignments as needed
