Base pay range

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced specialized care to critically ill infants, children, and adolescents in high-acuity settings.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessment, implement complex care plans, administer treatments, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Explain procedures and treatments to patients and families to ensure understanding and cooperation.
• Prepare and operate advanced medical equipment (e.g., ventilators, central line setups, hemodynamic monitors) and assist physicians during treatments.
• Continuously observe and evaluate patient conditions, document findings, and promptly notify physicians of critical changes.
• Monitor vital signs and clinical data, detect deviations, and initiate rapid interventions as needed.
• Initiate patient education plans as prescribed, and document in medical records.
• Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice.

Required Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a PICU RN
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification
• PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC certification

Preferred Qualifications

• ACLS (AHA/ARC) certification
• CCRN certification
• Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position

• English language proficiency (reading/writing/speaking)
• Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions; PC skills
• Physical ability to move and assist with equipment (50-100 lbs)

• Ability to cope with deadlines, variable schedules, and attention to detail
• Sensory: visual acuity; effective communication
