Position: Endocrinology - RN

Overview

The RN - Physician Practice shall render direct, pre-operative, and intraoperative nursing care to patients under the supervision of the Nurse Managers or other assigned leaders, as well as serve as a leader of a team engaged in giving nursing care. This position may have additional duties assigned that are within the scope of the role. Day shift.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, pre-operative, and intraoperative nursing care to patients under supervision.
• Lead a team in delivering nursing care and participate in quality improvement and in-services.
• Maintain aseptic technique where applicable and support patient care processes.

Qualifications

• Education / Experience: Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s degree preferred. Membership in AORN encouraged.
• License / Certification: Valid RN license required; BLS required; CNOR preferred. Additional certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) may be required depending on department.
• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Able to work from broad directions, prioritize workload, communicate effectively with diverse groups, provide excellent customer service, maintain HIPAA compliance, and demonstrate compassion and confidentiality.

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements

• Position requires sitting (10%), walking (30%), standing (60%) of the workday.
• Occasional stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching; occasional climbing and twisting.
• Frequent reaching, use of hands, and repetitive actions.
• Occasional lifting up to 30 pounds; pushing/pulling.
• Speaking with clear diction and hearing sensitivity; continuous visual acuity.
• Inside environment with exposure to various conditions; potential exposure to hazards as described in typical healthcare settings.
