About Riverbend:

Riverbend Community Mental Health is a private, nonprofit organization in central New Hampshire that provides specialized behavioral health and addiction treatment services for children, adolescents, adults, and families.

We currently have an opening in our Franklin location for a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse. We are seeking candidates who are passionate about the mental health field and are looking to join a team of dynamic and dedicated professionals!

As an RN/LPN, your primary duties will involve direct clinical care in an outpatient setting. You’ll work closely with psychiatrists, psychiatric APRNs, clinical staff, and others — both inside and outside Riverbend — to promote the mental health and well-being of Riverbend clients.

Schedule

The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM with a 1-hour lunch break.

Salary

$37,900 - $69,200 annually based on skills, experience, and licensure.

Responsibilities Of This Position Include

  • Conducting comprehensive nursing assessments as part of a multi-disciplinary treatment team, including providing initial health screenings, follow-up nursing appointments, and various testing.
  • Consulting with Riverbend providers, team members, family members, significant others, and community providers.
  • Maintain own caseload and covers other caseloads as needed.
  • Medication management – provide client education, administer medication (long-acting injectable), refill management, prior authorizations, consults with pharmacies.
  • Attending treatment team meetings and other meetings as required.
  • Utilizing electronic medical records (EMR) to document patient information, referrals, or other relevant information as required.
  • Adhering to all compliance procedures relevant to protected health information (PHI) and HIPAA regulations.
  • Participating in and/or providing training related to this position.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Comprehensive knowledge of abnormal signs and symptoms relating to physical, psychological, and emotional health.
  • Clear communication skills: Ability to articulate ideas clearly and effectively to foster understanding and collaboration with clients and colleagues.
  • Critical Thinking: Employ analytical skills to assess complex situations, make informed decisions, and develop innovative solutions.
  • Ethical standards: Uphold the highest standards of integrity and ethical behavior, ensuring that all interactions align with professional and moral guidelines.
  • Teamwork and Independence: Exhibit flexibility and adaptability, excelling both as an independent worker and a collaborative team member.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills are vital for success in this role.

Education And Experience Requirements

  • Valid New Hampshire Registered Nurse License or Licensed Practical Nurse License
  • At least one year of nursing experience required
  • Experience working with individuals with psychiatric illnesses is strongly preferred
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills with attention to detail are required.
