Oncology RN Job Details

• Location: Atlanta, GA 30342
• Setting: Acute Care Inpatient Oncology Unit
• Employment Type: Locum Tenens (Travel Nursing Contract)
• Start Date: October 27, 2025
• End Date: January 24, 2026
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour days (07:00 – 19:30)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1800 - $1840 per week
• Holiday Coverage: Must work 2 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, or New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent inpatient oncology nursing experience
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Georgia or compact state
• BLS certification required
• Chemo certification preferred
• Willingness to work required holiday shifts
• No local candidates within 50 miles

Oncology Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to oncology patients in an acute care hospital setting
• Administer chemotherapy and other oncology treatments
• Monitor patient progress and collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Educate patients and families on oncology treatment plans and ongoing care
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold best practices in patient safety
• Adapt to a fast-paced clinical environment and support nursing colleagues
