Responsibilities

• Providing hands on personal care including assistance with ambulation, transfers, toileting, bathing, grooming, etc.
• Turning and repositioning (for high level care clients)
• Establishing open communication and developing friendly relationships with seniors and their families
• Encouraging activity and movement as well as inspiring a positive attitude for daily tasks, appointments, and hobbies
• Light housework and preparation of snacks, drinks, and medication reminders as per client care plans
• Some clients have dementia and exhibit confusion or other behaviors; high energy and dedication are required

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age and eligible to work in the U.S.
• State Registered Nurse Aide preferred but not required if experience and skill can be demonstrated
• Valid driver’s license, car insurance, and reliable transportation
• Good communication skills in English (verbal and written)
• Willing and able to pass a drug test and criminal background check
• Physically able to care for another person (stand for long periods and carry up to 35 lbs, up to 25 ft, multiple times per day)
