Mars is hiring: Packaging Operator - Night Shift in Lebanon

Overview

Here at Mars we have an exciting opportunity for an individual seeking employment to join our factory team as a Packaging Operator. The Packaging Operator will be a multi-skilled packing associate responsible for achieving maximum efficiency of our packing lines, while ensuring the highest safety and quality standards are maintained during the production of dry petfood. The Packaging Operator will also play a pivotal role in identifying and delivering continuous improvement projects. This position follows a 4 day on, 4 day off, 12-hour night shift rotating schedule: 6:00 pm to 6:30 am.

What are we looking for?

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in food manufacturing environment and operating high speed packing machines.
• Mechanical background desirable, but not essential.
• Ability to multi-task.

Key Responsibilities

• Machine Setup and Maintenance: Setting up automated packing machines, loading packing materials, making machine adjustments, and ensuring proper sanitation.
• Troubleshooting and Repairs: Clearing machine jams, reworking defective packaging, troubleshooting machine faults, and maintaining glue and ink supplies.
• Quality Assurance: Performing and documenting quality checks throughout the packaging process. Ensures compliance with all Quality, Food Safety, and Legislative standards.
• Safety Practices: Following safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout procedures, to safely conduct equipment operations and routine maintenance.
• Equipment Management: Completing Cleaning, Inspection, and Lubrication (CIL) tasks according to daily, weekly, and monthly schedules to maintain equipment functionality and cleanliness.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.

Salary range: $16.95 - $27.12 per hour (3rd shift) or $20.49 - $33.81 per hour (additional postings).
