Night Shift Material Handlers needed: 6:20pm – 6:30am on 2,2,3 Schedule. Up to $2,500 potential retention bonus.

Job Duties

  • Maintain the flow of plastic to all molding machines in the department. Assemble and monitor the operation of auxiliary equipment per prescribed procedure.
  • Disassemble and clean hoppers and blenders and maintain their operations as production requires. Analyze and resolve minor problems in the central loading system.
  • Move raw materials from pick-up to molding room using manual or powered equipment; supply department with materials, skids, boxes and bags; remove skids and refuse to staging areas.
  • Maintain accurate paperwork flow from materials to quality control. Prepare maintenance work orders for service to equipment as required.
  • Calibrate the on-press blender and ensure correct ratios via a control box.
  • Maintain housekeeping at color change, shift changeover, and in the overall room.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on grinders and reset blades; uphold personal safety and the safety of others.
  • Move finished goods, staged bodies and actuators as directed by supervision.
  • Move empty boxes to molding rooms; move scrap skids to the warehouse.
  • Print shop orders and labels as needed. Order parts and lining materials for color changes and liner changes.
  • Work with operators on parts needed during the shift; return unused components to the warehouse when time permits.
  • Help operators and technicians during free time. Communicate all aspects of job activity to the next shift’s material handler/lead operator and supervisor/lead person.

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to read, count, and write
  • Physical ability to perform required activities
  • Forklift truck training
