Overview
Manufacturing Production Operator - Night Shift • Scottsboro, AL
Full time • Night Shift • 12 Hour Shifts
Base hourly rate: $20.07 • $2.00 shift differential
This position supports the core team in the Scottsboro, AL plant. The Operator works cross-functionally and is part of the Pay-For-Skills program, which builds pay increases based on skills and provides room for advancement. At the Johns Manville Scottsboro, AL facility, we manufacture reinforced TPO roof membrane and select TPO accessories, assembling components to build a system for shipment to distributors or job sites.
Responsibilities
- Follow all Johns Manville safety procedures and policies
- Wear protective clothing and equipment as required
- Review and complete training on JSAs/SOPs
- Complete training sign-off at the packaging station: operate overhead crane for handling rolls, prepare pallets, label finished goods, and set up and operate labeling equipment
- Complete Get Data training such as daily checklists and housekeeping checklists
What you Bring to the Team
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to tolerate heat, good vision, hearing, speaking, and finger dexterity as required
- Ability to set up and follow simple work plans and communicate with co-workers
- Basic computer skills
Your Day to Day
- Follow all safety procedures and policies
- Wear protective clothing and equipment as required
- Review and complete training on JSAs/SOPs
- Operate packaging line equipment safely and efficiently; ensure proper labeling and pallet setup per finished product specifications
- Complete required data training and daily checklists
