Overview
Industrial Maintenance Technician Night Shift at Mark Anthony Brewing Inc.
As an Industrial Maintenance Technician, you will perform highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain highly automated and advanced production machinery and equipment according to predictive maintenance schedules. This will be to ensure the smooth operation of equipment, minimize downtime, and meet efficiency goals.
Responsibilities
- Safety / Food Safety: Adhere to all Plant and Safety policies and procedures, including wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), as well as adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). Ensure equipment meets safety standards and regulations.
- Technical Expertise: Troubleshoot equipment to minimize unplanned downtime; plan and execute predictive/preventative maintenance; perform root-cause analysis; participate in equipment upgrade or installation projects; fabricate using cutting and welding (MIG, TIG, or stick); work with electrical systems (480VAC & 24VDC); read and interpret schematics for process and instrumentation diagrams; repair VFDs, servo motors and controllers, communication systems, PLC I/O cards, and safety modules.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, ensure PMs/work orders are completed before departure, and follow up with team members when passing ongoing work to the next shift; assist the lead with developing/updating SOPs.
- Team Collaboration: Coordinate maintenance activities with production and other departments without disrupting the manufacturing process; communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Inventory Management: Locate parts in the CMMS; document parts used; optimize use of resources.
- Communication: Ensure smooth shift changes by informing incoming shifts of work in progress, equipment conditions, and outstanding issues; escalate safety, quality, performance, or teamwork concerns to supervision.
- Training And Development: Transfer specialist technical knowledge; train production staff on basic equipment operation and routine maintenance tasks.
- Process Improvement: Work with leadership on projects involving continuous improvement, equipment/facility upgrades, and permanent corrective actions for recurring problems; perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree, certification, or higher in a technical field preferred
- 1–3 years of industrial maintenance experience in high-speed manufacturing; beverage or packaging experience preferred
- Safe use of hand and power tools, welders, lifts, multi-meters, and other industrial shop equipment
- Read and interpret schematics for process and instrumentation; repair VFDs, servo motors, controllers, communication systems, PLC I/O cards, and safety modules
- Forklift experience a plus (certification not required)
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel) and CMMS systems
Working Conditions
- Exposure to hazards, high noise, chemicals, and other typical manufacturing conditions
- Subject to extreme heat/cold; must have endurance for long tasks
- Fast-paced and changing environment; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; stand/move 8–12 hours; climb stairs/ladders as needed
- Must wear PPE (bump cap, safety toe shoes, safety glasses, masks or PAPRs) and adhere to GMPs
