The Basics

Location: Statesville, NC
Compensation: $20.75/hr and up
Days/Hours: Rotating night shift, 7pm–7am. Schedule: Mon, Thu, Fri one week; Tue, Wed, Sat, Sun the next week.

Equipment & Materials

• Equipment Used: Various milling equipment, mainly roll stands and sifters
• Material Handled: Wheat and flour

What You’ll Be Doing

• The primary duties include assisting with setting up, monitoring, and adjusting milling equipment to maximize yield while achieving production goals.
• Maintenance of milling equipment, transferring finished flour to storage, and housekeeping.
• Housekeeping is an ongoing duty; areas of responsibility include the flour mill and the cleaning house.

Requirements To Be Successful In This Position

• High school diploma or GED
• Reliable transportation
• Must be able to read, write, understand and follow written and/or verbal instructions in English
• Available to work overtime and weekends
• Professional demeanor (safety conscious, quality of job performance, cleanliness, and verbal communications)
• Able to pass a criminal background check

Physical Requirements

• Physically strenuous work
• Ability to work in tight and confined spaces
• Work at heights
• Ability to frequently lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds and occasionally more
• Ability to ascend/descend ladders
• Must wear PPE
