Schedule: 2:2:3 rotating shifts – 6pm-6am

Compensation: $17.25 per hour

Essential Functions

Operates a lift truck by driving backwards and twisting to look in the direction of travel on a continual basis.
Operates a lift truck for an entire shift.
Performs routine inspections and preventative maintenance on vehicles and auxiliary equipment, such as cleaning or recharging batteries, and refers defects or repairs to supervisor/maintenance.
Moves controls to drive battery-powered lift trucks and transports materials between loading, unloading, processing, and storage areas.
Moves levers and controls that operate lifting devices (forklifts, lift beams, swivel-hooks, hoists, and elevating platforms) to load, unload, transport, and stack material.
Positions lifting devices under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, and boxes, and secures material or products for transport to designated areas.
Manually loads or unloads materials onto or off pallets, skids, platforms, or lifting devices.
Ensures reliable attendance at scheduled shifts.
Performs all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.
Performs all other duties as assigned or needed.

Receives and reads preload orders.
Fills orders by accurately picking product from storage and staging that product on a spot utilizing stacking guidelines.
Inspects and loads trucks and arranges the products with the cube of the trailer according to recommended loading practices and guidelines.
Uses scanning device and computer as needed to perform tasks.
Checks printout for shortages, over-counts and incorrect model numbers; corrects shortages, over-counts and incorrect models where possible.

Inspects trailers before loading products.
Counts units on preload spot and compares with shipping documents.
Moves products from the preload spot, and directly from storage when required, into the trailer.
Arranges the products within the cube of the trailer according to recommended loading practices and guidelines.
Properly secures the load for travel.

Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Experience: One to two years related experience.
Computer Skills: Basic scanner technology.
Certificates & Licenses: Valid State Driver’s License; Forklift Certification preferred.
