Responsibilities

This position is responsible for the packaging of manufactured products. Packer responsibilities support several areas of manufacturing, including but not limited to injection molding, IML, quality and assembly. As part of our world-class, performance team you will:

  • Follow safety procedures
  • Visually inspect, place into box (as necessary), and palletize finished goods to customer specifications
  • Use lifting assist device where applicable
  • Tape and make boxes for work centers, ensuring the proper quantity available at all times
  • Monitor quality (deviations, comparing comparators)
  • Document daily production values, including scrap quantities and reasons for tracking purposes
  • Operate pallet jack, pushing/pulling full pallets and transport to elevator
  • Clean/maintain the assigned area in a 5S-conscious manner
  • Stack cartons from 25-40 lbs on pallets
  • Notify shift leader and/or technical employees if a work center is experiencing issues or stops cycling
  • Assist with the flow of raw materials, supplies, and finished goods to and from the production area
  • Participate in the training of new employees
  • Support and maintain all company policies including ISO Standards, Health and Safety Requirements, Continuous Improvement, and standard work procedures
  • Report unsafe conditions and behaviors

Qualifications

  • Must have excellent attendance. Reports each day, on time, ready to contribute
  • Must be safety & quality conscious. Act in a consistently safe manner at all times
  • Must be responsible, self-motivated and function well in a team environment
  • Be open to a flexible work schedule and work overtime as needed
  • Must have good communication skills, both written and oral
  • Be able to perform basic visual quality inspections on products
  • Production environment, with long periods of standing
  • Ability to repeatedly lift boxes ranging from 25-40 lbs onto pallet manually and/or with a lifter
  • Able to use a pallet jack on full skids
  • Effectively communicates with all co-workers, assists and coaches others when able
  • Effectively manage time and resources to ensure work is completed efficiently
  • Able to adapt when work assignments change

Day Shift Packer/Inspector

12 hour shift

  • $600.00 Sign on bonus
