Cedar Hills Hospital is a 98-bed behavioral health hospital and Outpatient Services program in Portland, Oregon dedicated to healing patients’ minds and bodies. Responsibilities

How you will make an impact:

The Mental Health Technician:

• observes, escorts, and monitors patients
• reports observations to the Registered Nurse
• provides basic nursing care under the direction of the Registered Nurse
• assists patients with activities of daily living; assists in the maintenance of a safe, secure, and clean environment
• engages patients in positive role models recovery oriented behaviors

Shift information: 3 - 12 hour shifts, 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. Some weekends required.

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience: Knowledge of behavior management strategies required to provide care for persons with psychiatric and/or substance use disorders; knowledge of approved techniques to assist patients with ambulation and self-care preferred. Must be able to read, understand, and follow policies, procedures, and written treatment plans. This is not a remote position - you must be located in the Portland area.
