Job Description/Responsibilities
Buffalo Trace Distillery is seeking applicants for the position of Aging Warehouse Technician, shift production employment, with a starting salary of $27.10 per hour.
We are looking for dependable and motivated individuals to join our team that produces high-quality products in the Barrel Warehouse. Responsibilities include maintaining, checking, and transferring barrels and spirits efficiently and accurately, operating safely and timely, and contributing to our reputation for producing the best-tasting bourbon.
The role requires physical ability to:
- Roll 500 lb barrels
- Lift 50 lbs regularly and 65 lbs occasionally
- Climb at least nine flights of stairs
- Stand, bend, stoop, and walk for long periods
- Work outdoors in various weather conditions and in non-temperature-controlled areas
- Maintain good balance on uneven surfaces
- Have visual and auditory acuity
- Fit into small spaces (ricks)
- Review reports for accuracy
- Check for leaks and prevent liquid loss
- Operate warehouse equipment and vehicles
- Use hand tools
- Work at heights
- Work in a team environment with a focus on continuous improvement
- Perform basic math and sanitation duties
- Prioritize safety and report hazards
Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, a stable work history with at least one year of experience, flexibility to work shifts including weekends, DOT recertification, a valid driver’s license if applicable, and effective communication skills.
Starting pay is $24.96 per hour, with a maximum of $24.96/year.
