The housekeeping position ensures cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiency of the facility while providing excellent customer service. Responsibilities include interacting with guests and staff in a friendly and professional manner, working efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and maintaining attention to detail.
**Requirements:**
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous housekeeping or custodial experience preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively and handle situations professionally and compassionately
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Must pass background check and drug screening
- Must have a clean driving record
- Physical ability to lift 25 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods
- Ability to bend, squat, push, pull, and perform other physical tasks
**Position Details:**
- Location: Medically Vulnerable Population (MVP), Family Interim Non-Congregate Children Housing (FINCH)
- Reports to: Facilities Supervisor
- Status: Full-Time, Part-Time
- Shift: Varied days and hours
- Pay Grade: Grade 3/$15.75 per hour
- FLSA: Non-Exempt
**Duties:**
- Clean guest rooms, common areas, and offices
- Perform laundry and linen services
- Assist with donations and maintain supplies
- Conduct safety rounds and respond to emergencies
- Perform minor repairs and report larger issues
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms and public areas
- Monitor and enforce safety and conduct policies
- Effective communication and trauma-informed care
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and resolve issues calmly
- Maintain regular attendance and punctuality
- Creative problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and respectfully with diverse populations
