Salary: $25 per hr.
The purpose of a HOUSEKEEPING SUPERVISOR is to direct housekeeping staff to ensure all rooms and public areas meet established cleanliness and quality standards.
Location:
Flushing, New York
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise housekeeping staff, including room attendants, laundry attendants, and public area attendants. Inspect, train, and supervise to ensure standards are met.
- Provide open communication, training, coaching, and performance feedback to maximize efficiency.
- Monitor the condition of housekeeping equipment for maintenance, cleaning, and repair.
- Assess inventory, assign, inspect, verify, and report the status of rooms/suites.
- Maintain stock rooms and carts with proper supplies.
- Record work assignments and personal actions; prepare periodic reports.
- Inspect rooms as occupancy and staffing needs change.
- Support the Executive Housekeeper in delivering incentives and programs to promote positive staff relations.
- Assist the Executive Housekeeper in ensuring guest satisfaction scores meet or exceed brand benchmarks.
- Perform other duties as requested by the supervisor.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High school education is not required.
- Up to one month of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Work Environment:
- Ability to work standing for long periods, up to 8 hours.
- Attention to detail, speed, accuracy, and minimal supervision.
- Physical effort including exerting effort to clean rooms and handling heavy loads up to 30 lbs.
