Still Waters Lakefront Resort is seeking a Resort Housekeeping Manager to lead the Housekeeping Department, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, forward-thinking hospitality professional with a proven track record in operations.

Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership and Development
    • Supervise, coach, and provide ongoing training to housekeeping staff, ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, and service standards.
    • Identify opportunities for procedural improvements and present well-considered solutions to the Operations Manager for approval.
    • Conduct daily quality checks, document findings, and implement remediation and follow-up training for Housekeeping associates per policy.
    • Foster a cohesive, guest-centric team environment through regular communication and recognition of achievements.
  • Operational Management
    • Oversee daily performance and appearance of the property through inspections and follow-up on identified areas for improvement.
    • Personally inspect guest rooms to ensure uncompromised quality and accountability.
    • Monitor and review departmental payroll, ensuring accuracy and timely submissions of adjustments, hours, and invoices.
    • Implement and enforce housekeeping cost controls to enhance productivity and efficiency.
    • Ensure the availability of necessary operating supplies to maintain an optimal guest experience.
    • Organize and document daily assignments, maintaining thorough records and submitting reconciliations and supporting documents daily.
  • Inventory and Administration
    • Maintain organized control of guest and housekeeping supplies and linen inventory, facilitating timely ordering and replacement of supplies and equipment.
    • Develop and implement a plan for daily operational requirements during absences to ensure seamless delegation and continuity of service.
  • Compliance and Communication
    • Ensure excellent inter-departmental communication and follow-up.
    • Maintain a current working knowledge of OSHA regulations applicable to the workplace.
    • Perform other duties as assigned to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the property.

Qualifications

  • Experience
    • Prior supervisory experience in a housekeeping role is required.
    • Experience within a condo-property setting is preferred.
  • Skills and Attributes
    • Hands-on manager with exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
    • Demonstrated flexibility in scheduling to accommodate business needs, including weekend availability.

Salary: $18 - $22 per hour
