We are seeking a skilled Machinist to work on our 3rd shift team. The successful candidate will have experience with NC/CNC controlled lathes or machining centers and be able to perform turning, boring, threading, contouring, milling, drilling, tapping, reaming, and angle and taper cuts to close tolerances and finish requirements.

• Set up, adjust, and operate a variety of NC/CNC controlled lathes or machining centers.
• Work from routings, process sheets, and blueprints, using a variety of precision instruments to set-up and inspect work.
• Assist in establishing program requirements, make machine adjustments to correct deviations from program specifications, and note and report program problems.
• Recommend tooling arrangement, fixtures, operational sequences, and mount and secure tooling, align and secure fixtures, platens, and work pieces.

Requirements:

• Experience with Fanuc controls preferred.
• Solid knowledge of machine shop and CNC techniques.
• Two+ years of CNC turning experience.
• Solid background in shop math and blueprint reading.
• Experienced in the use of hoists and cranes.
• Personal tools and willingness to buy tools as needed.
• Experience on large diameter vertical lathes helpful.
• Ability to lift up to 38 lbs.
