Pay Rate: $31.34 + .50 an hour shift diff

Position: Electro Mechanic

Location: Orlando, FL

Pay Rate: $31.34 + .50 an hour shift diff

Shift: 3rd

Summary

Responsible for the preventive maintenance of all equipment in the plant including planning the work to be done, scheduling personnel, ordering parts, performing repairs, keeping records of maintenance performed, recommending new equipment purchases, maintaining a safe working environment, and being on call as needed.

Main Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance checks on all production and support equipment according to scheduled or established intervals; perform preventive maintenance on all equipment at least once every three months or when due, but not limited to.
  • Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and thermal problems that may occur with the equipment; make minor adjustments where necessary.
  • Work with outside contractors who provide service and/or repair of equipment; communicate with them as required.
  • Assist in installing new equipment by selecting appropriate vendors, preparing specifications, attending pre-installation meetings, inspecting installations, testing completed installations, and making any necessary adjustments.
  • Order replacement parts and supplies as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using available software programs; generate reports as requested.
  • Purchase materials and supplies as directed.
  • Recommend the purchase of new equipment and other capital improvements; prepare justification data as required.
  • Coordinate equipment moves within the plant as necessary.
  • Perform a variety of other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Basic knowledge of computer applications.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, pull, bend, twist, and walk.
  • Availability to respond to emergency situations.
  • Mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of tools and tool usage.
  • Working knowledge of automated electronic equipment operation and control systems.
  • Familiarity with OSHA regulations.
  • Forklift certified.

Experience

3-5 years in industrial maintenance with strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical background. The candidate should have a lengthy experience in basic industrial electrical and PLC knowledge.

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
