Maintenance Technician - 3rd Shift (Must have Plastics Manufacturing Experience).

Responsibilities

• Controls downtime by effectively troubleshooting and diagnosing problems quickly and accurately.
• Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
• Works with tool crib attendant to maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking inventory levels; anticipating needs; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
• Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications; establishing personal networks.
• Repairs chillers, thermolators, resin driers, loader systems, grinders and tower fans.
• Proactive in keeping a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus completion of an accredited apprentice program, technical school program or college degree in industrial maintenance technology or electrical field.
• Prior experience (5+ years) repairing injection molding presses and auxiliary equipment; specifically, Krauss Maffei and Demag presses is highly desirable.
• Must have the ability to work independently with solid knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic disciplines.
• Must have excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose problems and make decisions as to the appropriate corrective action.
• Must be able to read and interpret schematics / blueprints and diagrams.
• Welding skills necessary; machining skills would be a plus.
• Regular, predictable, on-site attendance is an essential function of the job.
• Good communication skills (oral and written) and is able to interact with various department personnel to ensure work is completed thoroughly and efficiently.
• A valid driver\'s license with a clean driving history is required in order to drive the company vehicle as necessary.
