Maintenance Mechanic - 3rd Shift at Lakeside Book Company

Overview

Join our team as a Maintenance Mechanic in the dynamic warehousing industry. You will be a hands-on problem solver responsible for keeping equipment and machinery running smoothly, troubleshooting issues, and performing preventative maintenance across warehouse systems, including conveyors and climate-control equipment. Work with a collaborative team that values safety and excellence in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of warehouse equipment and machinery.


• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.


• Perform preventative maintenance tasks to minimize downtime.


• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from team members and management.


• Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities.


• Collaborate with team members to improve maintenance processes and equipment performance.


• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in mechanics is a plus.


• Proven experience as a maintenance mechanic or in a similar role.


• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including conveyor systems and components.


• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.


• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.


• Willingness to learn.


• Ability to stand, walk, lift, stoop, bend, and twist for 8 to 10 hours per shift.


• Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment (hot inside when it is hot outside).

Pay, Shift & Location

• Pay: $22.50-$24.50 per hour, with a $1.50 per hour shift differential for 3rd shift.


• Shift: 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m., Sunday-Thursday, with mandatory overtime as needed.
