Capable of removing burrs from plastic and metal gearing using brushes, red wheels, files, and other tools as needed.

Essential Job Functions

  • Able to read and understand job traveler work instructions regarding deburring
  • Able to utilize various methods to remove burrs form gears including filing and brushing
  • Ability to file parts on the lathe
  • Ability to use buffer
  • Understand and be aware of machinery capabilities and limitations
  • Correctly fill out all necessary paperwork
  • Accurately count parts
  • Time input per job
  • Help keep area clean and organized
  • Exercise care when handling parts
  • Strong communication skills required

  • Ability to grasp parts against burr wheel
  • Ability to perform visual inspection with the eye loop, naked eye, and other inspection tools

Education & Experience

  • Deburring experience preferred

Physical Demands

  • Ability to lift/carry 20-45 pounds

(upward pulling)

  • Lift/carry Occasionally
  • Stooping Occasionally (bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist, requiring full use of the lower extremities and back muscles)
  • Reaching Frequently (extending hands and arms in any direction including upward and downward)
  • Walking Occasionally (with normal breaks)
  • Sitting Occasionally (with normal breaks)
  • Standing Frequently
