For this position, the expected base pay is: $17.00 - $22.75 / Hourly. Actual base compensation will be determined based on knowledge, location, skills, experience, and other factors.

Responsibilities

• Create, coordinate and complete shipments of goods between the company and clients.
• Coordinate with off-site logistics locations, suppliers and vendors to meet deadlines and track shipments.
• Process orders and ensure shipment schedules are met; develop and maintain operational reports as needed.
• May act as a point of contact for customer service and ensure accuracy and delivery of transactions for clients.
• May dispatch requests to transportation providers and work with teams to improve service to clients.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Performs daily activities for an assigned shift or area.
• Adheres to warehouse work instructions for receiving, labeling, storing, shipping and value-add services per DSV policies.
• Meet company objectives in performance, safety, quality, leadership, and customer service.
• Unloads inbound shipments, stages and loads merchandise in correct areas and ensures proper trailer security.
• Loads/unloads product using appropriate handling techniques; verifies driver, trailer, and bills for specific carrier and location.
• Counts freight with the driver and ensures required paperwork is completed; performs forklift activities as needed.
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment and orderly desk/office area.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Educational Background / Work Experience: Must have forklift experience.
• Skills & Competencies:
  • Mathematical Skills: Basic level for inventory verification and quality initiatives.
  • Other Skills: Ability to work with minimal supervision, detail oriented, organized, effective verbal and written communication, high level of customer service.
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years in customer service and logistics (or equivalent combination of education/experience).
  • Material Handling Certification, Dangerous Goods Qualification, Forklift Operation and Certification.
  • Some experience with Warehouse Management Systems.
• Language: English preferred (reading, writing, and verbal).
• Computer Literacy: Proficiency in basic MS Office applications.

Physical and Working Conditions

• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and perform movements such as lifting, bending, stooping, reaching, and climbing.
• Must be able to operate material handling equipment and stand for several hours.
• Working conditions are typical of a warehouse, with variable temperatures and moderate noise.
