Overview
Machine Operator - 3rd Shift at Brady Europe, Middle-East & Africa. This role involves operating the lamination machine and other production equipment in a manufacturing environment, following operation procedures to meet quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain the lamination machine and other production equipment as needed.
- Ensure materials are produced in accordance with quality standards with a scrap rate at or below 1%.
- Eliminate RGAs and Focus Claims by accurately marking, segregating, and cutting defective material.
- Enter shift data in the TRS and produce a materials schedule with a TRS of at least 85%.
- Identify pre-production issues such as raw material thickness, defects, and correct material type.
- Perform and record accurate quality checks.
- Analyze and interpret procedural documents, machine recipes, instructions, and production reports.
- Define problems by collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions.
- Calculate material and tool thickness based on requests.
- Correct necessary adjustments to material recipes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1-year experience in a production/manufacturing environment.
- Capable of following standard operating instructions, guidelines, and procedures.
- Basic understanding of mathematics including measurements, computation, and calculations.
- Dependable and flexible to cover a shift as needed.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail with ability to maintain quality standards.
- Excellent teamwork, a proactive attitude, and a process-oriented mindset.
- Ability to keep work area clean and safe.
- Aptitude in mechanics and/or electronics is highly preferred.
- Physical requirements: ability to lift up to 60 pounds; stand and walk for extended periods (up to 10 hours); may be exposed to static electricity.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Training in electro-mechanical concepts desired but not required.
