Overview

Electro-Mechanical Technician 3rd Shift at Callaway Golf. This role is responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of factory electrical and mechanical equipment and other industrial machinery used in semi and fully automated manufacturing. The position involves preventative and corrective maintenance of a variety of industry standard and specialized equipment and troubleshooting issues with electronic-based programs. This is a 3rd shift position (10:00 PM - 6:00 AM). Starting compensation is $41.53/hour plus shift differentials.

This role is part of the portfolio of brands within Topgolf Callaway Brands, a tech-enabled Modern Golf and active lifestyle company delivering leading golf equipment, apparel, and entertainment.

Responsibilities

  • Install hardware on new and existing equipment
  • Order and repair or replace broken or malfunctioning components and parts
  • Program controllers and design programs to suit business needs
  • Modify and upgrade existing circuits
  • Troubleshoot, repair, rebuild and upgrade mechanical systems
  • Independently complete predictive and preventative maintenance on machines as scheduled
  • Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to report and record equipment-related actions
  • Complete repair work in a timely manner following manufacturer and programming guidelines
  • Contribute to process improvements for efficiency
  • Work safely following PPE and standardized processes
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor

Technical Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Understanding of computer, electrical and mechanical systems in a manufacturing environment
  • Electrical theory and practice knowledge
  • Strong knowledge in machine automation including robotics, PLCs, drives, motor controls, sensing components, vision systems, printers, scanners, label machines, dispensing controls, etc.
  • Experience communicating with machine control programs, PLCs, VFDs, panel views, vision systems, printers, scanners, label machines, etc.
  • Familiarity with Logics 5000, RS-232, Ethernet, DeviceNet, etc.
  • Ability to troubleshoot from mechanical drawings/prints such as hydraulics diagrams and OEM documentation
  • Ability to troubleshoot low voltage control instrumentation and components
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems with or without documentation
  • Ability to interpret local and national electrical codes
  • Experience using voltage and calibration meters and diagnostic tools
  • Proficiency with MS Excel and MS Outlook
  • Strong problem-solving, time management and communication skills
  • Must be able to read, write and understand English

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED; or 1-3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong mathematical, computer, electrical and mechanical understanding; ability to pass required testing
  • Trades program graduation preferred
  • On-site Fork Truck Operating Certification required
  • Open to continuing education certificate courses and on-site training

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

  • Work with electrical current and potential electrical shock
  • Exposure to fumes or airborne particles
  • Exposure to confined spaces while working on machines
  • Regularly stand and walk for long periods; may be required to sit, crouch, bend or reach
  • Good visual acuity including near, color, peripheral vision and depth perception
  • Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
