Job Summary:

A Sanitation Lead oversees a team of sanitation operatives to ensure all sanitation processes are completed and standards are maintained during the production shift.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure the team has the necessary resources and skills.
• Deploy a training plan and adopt people practices to enable the team to deliver the master cleaning schedule.
• Create and present a clear forward resourcing plan for cleaning, sanitation, environment, and technical aspects.
• Direct and monitor the team’s day-to-day sanitation activities according to the master schedule.
• Communicate and validate the team’s adoption of amendments to standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure effective implementation and improvement of sanitation performance and safety practices.
• Review equipment, highlight damage, and escalate risks to inform the preventative maintenance program.
• Ensure personal and team compliance with inventory controls for timely replacement of materials.
• Provide information to customers and regulatory bodies to demonstrate process and procedures.
• Identify sanitation requirements, develop and refine SOPs, and ensure compliance with regulatory and customer codes.
• Coordinate sanitation aspects of external audits and ensure a safe working environment.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED with 3-5 years of applicable experience.
• Results-oriented with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Recognized as a leader capable of driving excellence with leadership and technical skills.
• Computer literate in Word, Excel, and other programs.
• Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment or similar industry, with experience leading a diverse workforce.

Starting pay is $21.85/hr, with a shift differential offered for 2nd and 3rd shift opportunities. A comprehensive benefits package is available for full-time employees, including health, dental, 401k, and wellness benefits, starting on the 90th day of employment.
