Overview

Production Support Operator - 3rd Shift at Eaton. Location: Badger Dr. in Waukesha, WI. The hourly rate is $20.80 per hour plus a $2.50 per hour shift premium. Core hours are 11 pm – 7 am; overtime may be required.

This position offers a sign-on bonus of $3,000, paid in two installments, less applicable withholding. Applications for bonuses are valid for a limited time and certain terms apply.

What You’ll Do

• Load appropriate materials onto laser table and perform laser cutting operations per specifications, work instructions, schedules, and drawings.
• Complete tasks for laser operation including setup and operation on laser; verify material thickness; load, unload, and sort parts; use precision instruments to check tolerances and quality.
• Load and assist in press brake metal forming operations to meet production and quality standards.
• Operate a forklift and crane.
• Keep the work area clean and maintain a safe environment for self and others.
• Wear PPE including safety glasses with side shields, hearing protection, steel-toed boots, gloves, and follow safe manufacturing practices.

Qualifications

• Eaton will not sponsor immigration or support CPT/OPT/STEM OPT, H-1B, O-1, E-3, TN, or related statuses.
• No relocation benefit is offered; candidates within a 50-mile radius will be considered. Active-duty military candidates are exempt from the geographical limitation.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience with lasers in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience operating material handling equipment such as forklifts and cranes.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.

• Ability to read and interpret measuring devices (e.g., tape measure).
• Ability to troubleshoot minor program errors independently with minimal supervision.
• Basic math skills and ability to convert fractions to decimals and vice versa.
• Ability to read blueprints and understand instructions, schedules, and specifications.
• Ability to wear PPE and follow safety practices; willingness to work overtime when required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
