Requirements

Job Essential Functions:

  • - Conduct thorough patient assessments, including history-taking and physical examinations.
  • - Formulate and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and clinical guidelines.
  • - Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
  • - Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging studies.
  • - Administer medications and provide treatments as prescribed.
  • - Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • - Educate patients and families on health management, disease prevention, and treatment options.
  • - Document all patient interactions and care plans in electronic health records (EHR).
  • - Participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • - Education: Master’s degree in Nursing (for ACNP) or relevant PA program.
  • - Certification: Current certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP-BC) or Physician Assistant (PA-C).
  • -Licensure: Valid Texas state license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.

Experience

  • Skills: Strong clinical assessment skills, ability to work independently, excellent communication, and teamwork abilities.

Physical/Mental Demands

Requires, standing, sitting, walking, bending, stooping, twisting. Requires full range of motion, manual dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. May require helping lift/transfer patients. Requires ability to deal with stress from dealing with multiple tasks, irregular hours, tense patients, and unexpected emergencies
