Description

Qualified candidates will have completed certified training modules and be capable of setting up, operating, and maintaining all qualified equipment in inside production departments. Under supervision, they will coordinate work and resolve production and equipment issues in departments such as Cutting, Packing, Capping, and Finished Goods.

Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Functions

• Set up, troubleshoot, repair, and operate equipment.
• Coordinate work and resolve production or equipment problems under supervision.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections.
• Adjust line speeds to meet standards and maximize production while maintaining quality.
• Conduct operational checks, document repairs, and communicate needs.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment to minimize downtime.
• Maintain cleanliness and perform preventive maintenance on work area and equipment.
• Monitor product adherence to food safety and quality standards.
• Review preventive maintenance reports.
• Follow safety protocols and company policies.

Other Duties

• Cover supervisor duties in their absence.
• Assist in training and monitoring employees.
• Perform minor fabrication and operate forklift as needed.
• Participate in meetings, committees, and projects.
• Perform additional tasks as directed.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required; trades training is a plus. Must complete company training modules. Proficiency in English and basic math skills required. Ability to learn new technology and instruct others. Intermediate computer skills necessary; CRC certification preferred.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Not a supervisor but leads others and assumes some supervisory duties in their absence.

Machines and Equipment

Varies by department, including conveyors, labelers, fillers, case packers, and more, some with computerized or robotic components. Includes basic hand tools and forklifts.

Physical Demands

Includes bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, and hearing. Medium work capacity required, exerting up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Work Environment

Indoor work with seasonal temperature variations, exposure to grease, ink, dust, fumes, machinery noise, and required safety gear such as earplugs, head covers, beard covers, and steel-toed shoes.
