Starting times and hours may vary depending on coverage due to report-offs and the production schedule, especially during holidays.
Job Duties / Responsibilities
- Understands and adheres to governmental regulatory programs and policies, including National Electrical Code, EPA, Uniform Building Code (UBC), and local environmental policies.
- Practices and complies with plant and maintenance safety procedures, including Lock-Out/Tag-Out, Arc Flash, and Hot Work Permits.
- Understands Permit Required Confined Spaces and assists with proper alternate entry of re-classified confined spaces when necessary.
- Follows applicable GMPs for the area assigned.
- Maintains and uses appropriate PPE in accordance with OSHA and food handling requirements during equipment inspection and repair activities.
- Attends classes, seminars, and in-house training to maintain skill level with industry changes.
- Assists in making improvements to optimize the maintenance program.
- Executes and documents planned and unplanned work findings and data during shift via Outlook emails.
- Repairs and installs parts, tools, and equipment. Fabricates or modifies machines, tools, or equipment to manufacture new products or improve existing products.
- Performs Preventative Maintenance (PM), inspections, corrective repairs, and special projects/equipment rebuilds.
- Performs execution and resolution of equipment breakdowns/repairs.
- Applies methodologies such as root cause analysis (RCA), breakdown failure analysis (BDA) and cause maps to identify and resolve equipment issues.
- Uses predictive maintenance technologies (ultrasound, thermal imaging, oil analysis, vibration analysis) and takes appropriate follow-up actions.
- Documents failure causes and works with the maintenance team to prevent recurrence.
- Interprets technical documents and diagrams (manuals, blueprints, schematics, P&ID, etc.).
- Ability to use volt/multimeter readings.
- May perform other duties as required. Mandatory overtime may be required.
Education / Experience
High School Diploma or GED is preferred, but not required. Minimum 2 years prior experience.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; and caustic chemicals. The noise level is usually loud.
Compensation & Benefits
The starting rate for this full-time, hourly position is $31.30. Individual base pay depends on work location and factors such as experience, job-related skills, and education or training.
