About The College/Unit/Department

The University of Georgia Center for Continuing Education & Hotel is hiring motivated, dependable, and team-oriented individuals for jobs that advance UGA’s mission of Public Service and Outreach. The Georgia Center, located on campus across from Stegeman Coliseum, is the campus hub for the development and administration of non-credit professional and continuing education courses as well as home of the only on-campus hotel.

Employment Details

This is a part-time position with a maximum of 16 hours of work per week, with no guarantee of scheduled hours (some weeks may be less than 16 hours). The shift is 11pm to 7am and may include weekends and holidays. This position supports the full-time night auditor’s weekly schedule.

Salary and Start Date

Advertised Salary: $11.00 to $14.00 per hour, commensurate with experience
Anticipated Start Date: 05/27/2021

Job Responsibilities

1. Perform daily audits of front desk transactions: run reports, verify accuracy, audit payment types, make corrections, complete end-of-day reports, post room charges, back up transactions, and roll the date.
2. Serve as manager on duty: learn and implement safety and security procedures, communicate with staff, respond to guest requests, handle emergencies, and manage maintenance issues.
3. Guest services duties: check-in/out, reservations, provide hotel info, answer calls, post charges, greet guests.
4. Attend meetings and training: participate in departmental meetings, assist in meeting hotel goals, and perform other duties as assigned.
