Overview

Driver/operator of company vehicles. Provides courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages. Checks shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service and provides related customer service functions. Drives vehicles not regulated by section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles for delivery and pickup of shipments.
• Ensure shipments conform to FedEx service standards and provide customer service as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: High School Diploma/GED.
• Minimum Experience: None
• Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment and/or assistance.
  • Good human relations and communication skills.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials, and respond to official inquiries and directions per FMCSA guidance.

Job Conditions

• Non-covered safety-sensitive position.
• Neat appearance required due to customer contact.
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
• Licensed for type of vehicle assigned.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay: $21.24 - 32.19 per hour.
• Benefits: eligible employees health, vision and dental insurance; retirement; tuition reimbursement.
• Additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential may apply.
• Schedule: Monday - Saturday (Day off TBD) between 8:00am - 2:00pm.
