Role location: Longview, TX. This is a full-time (40 hrs/wk) entry-level Fitness Program Manager position at the client site in Longview, TX (approximately 1 hour drive west of Shreveport, LA).

Responsibilities
- Manage and direct all operational aspects of a midsized, single client on-site fitness program, ensuring high participation, results achievement, and customer satisfaction for onsite and virtual programs and services.
- Ensure contract compliance, develop and adhere to the strategic business plan, supervise staff, provide training and development, design and facilitate a variety of health and fitness programs, and perform administrative duties including outcome-focused management reporting.
- Implement and instruct individual and group fitness programs; provide floor supervision, fitness testing, exercise prescriptions, and orientations.
- Lead regular staff meetings onsite and virtually; manage employment forms, payroll records, and billing worksheets; ensure client relationship and high customer satisfaction.
- Develop and implement yearly strategic business plans to identify contract deliverables, program offerings, initiatives, outcomes, and marketing strategies, including virtual programming.
- Prepare and manage operating budgets and ensure expenditures comply with policies and procedures.
- Develop outcomes-focused programs aligned with client objectives; interface with client management and related departments to assess needs and provide HealthFitness programming solutions for onsite and virtual offerings.
- Track participant and program data to measure goals and create management reports for onsite and virtual programs.
- Identify revenue opportunities, create plans to generate revenue, and meet financial goals.
- Direct the implementation of fitness center-based and virtual programs, health education activities, motivational programs, and events; coordinate marketing and communications to maximize engagement for onsite and virtual audiences.
- Maintain compliant records and ensure confidentiality of health assessment data; ensure waivers and forms are completed for virtual programs.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Health Promotion, Kinesiology, or related field plus 2+ years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, certifications, and experience.
- Current Adult CPR/AED certifications from a recognized organization.
- Industry-recognized Group Exercise certification (ACE, AFAA/NASM, ACSM, NCCPT, or NETA) required within 90 days of hire.
- Personal Training certification from an approved provider required within 90 days of hire.
- Previous supervisory experience is a plus.
- Ability to lead, manage, and operate a fitness center; strong interpersonal and customer service skills; ability to motivate others.
- Strong organizational and prioritization abilities; proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); proficiency in fitness assessment and exercise prescription; ability to teach various group exercise formats; strong presentation skills and professionalism.
- Applicants must meet hiring requirements including pre-employment drug testing.
Compensation & Benefits
Compensation: $44k - $51k per year, dependent on experience and qualifications. Additional commission opportunities for individuals with a HealthFitness-approved Personal Trainer certification.
