Overview

Fitness Floor Attendant at The Bay Club Company. This role carries out duties to maintain operations and customer service in the Fitness Center in alignment with the company’s mission and core values.

Primary Job Functions

• General supervision of the Fitness Center and Recovery room.
• Ensuring the fitness and recovery areas are safe, including enforcing club policies and procedures.
• Maintain the highest quality of customer service.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of the fitness and recovery areas, including routine housekeeping.
• Adhere to scheduled responsibilities including attending mandatory department meetings.
• Instruct members in proper and safe use of equipment.
• Monitor music and TV stations and adjust as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
• Communicate timely and follow up as appropriate.
• Active participation in required events, programs, meetings, and trainings.

Other Job Functions

• Flexibility in work schedule, as job may require day and evening shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Skills & Knowledge

• Policies and Regulations — Knowledge of company policies.
• Written Comprehension and Expression — Ability to read, understand and communicate information in writing.
• Oral Comprehension and Expression — Ability to understand and communicate so others can understand ideas and information.
• Computer — Ability to utilize club software and email communication software (e.g., Microsoft Outlook).
• Knowledge of safe operation of fitness center and recovery room equipment.
• Previous customer service experience.

Experience

• Health and fitness background preferred.
• Experience with fitness equipment preferred.
• Current CPR/AED Certification required (Red Cross or American Heart Association; or within 30 days of employment).

Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
